2010 CSA Plan

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  CSAs help the community by providing fresh, local produce to consumers.  CSAs also help farmers by guaranteeing them a market for their products and eliminating the guesswork from marketing.  Shareholders (folks like you) subscribe for up to 3 seven week plans.  All subscriptions are due before the first week of each new plan.  This system helps us to know how much to plant and it allows consumers to rest easy knowing that they will receive fresh products each week throughout the growing season.

Our CSA program runs from June through the end of October.  On our Product Graph we give you an idea of items that we grow and will have available for each month.  Our subscription form gives you options for large or small share subscriptions   We also offer jellies, beef, cheese, beef bologna, and honey for purchase if you wish.

A full share for the first session of last year included: 1 lb asparagus, 1 bunch fresh shallots, 2 bunches spring onions, 2 bunches radishes, 2 qt strawberries, 1/2 lb lettuce mix, 1/2 lb spinach, 1/2 lb rhubarb, 12 apples.

A full share for the second session of last year included: 2 pint blueberries, 12 peaches, a cabbage, 3 cucmbers, 3 peppers, a jar of honey, 2 sweet onions, 2 qt new red potatoes, and 1 bunch of Swiss chard.

A full share for the third session of last year included: 6 paradise apples, 2 quart green beans, 2 spaghetti squash, 1 bunch red beets, 1 bunch carrots, turnip greens, 1 qt concord grapes, 2 bell peppers, 6 nectarines.

A half share would be half of these amounts of each item.  We try to have 7-8 different items each week with two fruit and the rest vegetables.

2010 CSA Schedule

We are excited about our 2010 CSA program- we are already making plans for next year's planting and harvesting.  We are offering seven week plans this year as well as full season plans.  Each seven week plan is the same price, the only differences are the start and end dates.

We will be offering a $30.00 discount for shareholders who sign up and pay for the full season (all 3 seven week plans).

Example: (Small share) $160 x 3 = $480 - $30 = $450

We hope you will join us for 2010!
